How we rank
We order listings by how much we can confirm from public sources, not by how the durian tasted. We have not tasted every stall, and fruit changes from tree to tree and week to week.
What counts
- Public reviews: rating and volume from Google or TripAdvisor, where we saw them on a public page.
- Evidence: independent pages that document the business.
- Transparency: an official site or social page, an address, a map location, published hours, prices and varieties.
Listings with fewer confirmed details sort lower and carry a note to call ahead. That note means we have not confirmed everything yet. It says nothing about the business.
What we do not do
- No paid placement or affiliate ordering.
- No copied review text.
- No claims about a named seller's honesty, grading or hygiene.
Varieties
Taste scores are our reading of published tasting notes, on a scale of 1 to 5. They are a guide. Sources disagree on some origin stories, and we say so where they do.
News
The news page refreshes every Monday from news feeds. Headlines are filtered by keyword and link to the publisher. Events are checked by hand.
Corrections
Owners and readers can correct any listing.
